Shahid Mohammad Montazeri Power Plant

Shahid Mohammad Montazeri Power Plant is one of the electricity generation centers in Iran, ‎especially in Isfahan province. This power plant began its operations in 1984 with the ‎commissioning of its first unit, and in 1998, it launched its second phase with the startup of unit ‎‎5. Montazeri Power Plant has a nominal capacity of 1616 megawatts. Some of the notable ‎features of this power plant include the complete elimination of the use of mazut in 2014, the ‎creation of over 3.5 million square meters of green space, the installation of the online continuous ‎environmental monitoring system, the receipt of the Silver Plaque of Green Industry in 2016, and ‎the implementation of a novel wastewater treatment method. These measures demonstrate our ‎particular attention to environmental issues and sustainability. In the future, we intend to convert ‎it to a combined-cycle configuration, which will involve increasing its nominal capacity while ‎decreasing natural gas consumption. This project will effectively contribute to overcoming the ‎energy deficit in the country.‎
